Fox, Byrd shareholder elected Chairman of 6,000 member Dallas CPA Society

Mitch Perry, a shareholder with Fox, Byrd & Company, has been elected Chairman of the Dallas CPA Society. His term will run from June 2009 through May 2010. The Dallas CPA Society, a local chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs, is the premier professional organization for local CPAs. Its membership includes both CPAs working in-house in positions such as Controller or CFO, as well as those in public practice.

Mitch provides consulting, auditing and accounting services to clients in a variety of industries. He is also involved in the firm’s tax planning and compliance services for partnerships, corporations and individuals. Mitch began his career in public practice, but has also served as corporate controller for a privately-held software and services firm, where he was responsible for managing the company’s accounting functions, tax matters, planning and budgeting cycles. Mitch also provides businesses with a broad array of consulting services, from strategic planning to performance-based management.

In addition to being a CPA, Mitch is also a Certified Management Accountant. He received his MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas and his BA from Angelo State University. He is a trained and experienced meeting facilitator and is active in community organizations, particularly those focused on education and adult literacy.
